PAYMENT
POLICIES: Rental payments will be made by agreed upon dates, via personal or cashiers check only, made payable to: JOHN
and PAM EHRENREICH. Any personal checks refused for any reason will incur a $25
service charge, and all payments thereafter will be made by cashiers check only. For reservations made within
two weeks of requested dates all deposits MUST be in the form of a cashier's check or money order. A SECURITY
/ DAMAGE DEPOSIT of (up to) $150.00 CASH will
be collected at time of check in and returned after an inventory of the premises.
DAMAGE
/ THEFT POLICIES: There will be a cash security / damage deposit required at check in, for each cottage rented, with the amount
determined by which building(s) is (are) rented. This deposit will be returned
after an inventory at check out. If property owned by the EHRENREICHS is
lost or damaged the cost to replace said property will be deducted from the security / damage deposit. If loss or damage exceeds the amount of the deposit the renter named in the contract agrees
to remit full payment of the difference upon written notification of damage and / or loss and cost of replacement and / or
repair.
LIABILITIES: The renter accepts all liability for injury to him/her self, as well as any
guests on the rented premises for the full duration of the rental. The renter
also acknowledges the need for extra care and precautions due to the lakefront nature of the property, and holds the EHRENREICH'S
free from liability and indemnifies them as to any liability therefore from any use or misuse of their property including
, but not limited to buildings, the dock, deck, steps, etc., by the renter and / or renters' guests. The renter acknowledges
that the Owners do not provide a guarded swimming area, that water depth is insufficient for diving, that the sloped grassy
areas can be slippery, and further indemnifies them from liability for any damage to property, belonging to the renter, brought
to the cottage during the rental period for the use of the renter (i.e. boats, skis, etc., etc.).
CANCELLATION
/ REFUND POLICIES: The amount deposited to secure a reserved rental period
will be refunded ONLY if the Owners are given a written
notification of cancellation at least 30 days prior to the start of the agreed
rental period, or if the Owners are able to re-rent the cottage(s) for the entire period of the cancelled rental if cancelled
within 30 days. If tenants are required to vacate prematurely due to weather
conditions of an extreme nature (making the cottage(s) uninhabitable) the Owners may choose to refund the
rent in part or in full, at their discretion. If tenants are asked to vacate due to behavioral problems the Owners will
not refund any portion of the rents paid.
WEEKEND RENTALS: Since weekend rentals can affect whether we can rent either/both full
weeks prior to and after any given weekend, we do not make reservations for weekend rentals during 'PEAK' periods until two weeks prior to the weekend in question. 'PEAK' periods are the months of June,
July and August, and Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends. Rental rates for weekends vary depending
on season, length of stay, and unit rented. All deposits for such rentals MUST be in the form of Cashier's Checks
or Money Order, and MUST be received at LEAST two days prior to the rental. Please contact us for more explicit
information regarding your desired dates.
PETS: Due to the possibility of injury by and/or to pets, to and/or by renters, neighbors
and neighboring pets, as well as for allergy and clean-up reasons, we do not allow pets on the premises, with renters
OR their guests. This includes, but is not limited to, DOGS, Cats, contained animals, such as snakes, rabbits, hamsters,
etc., etc.
